How to help prevent leaks with pads in gym?!

Question: How to help prevent leaks with pads in gym?
Ok, so I have gym on Tuesday and every other day we have gym we have to run for 5 minutes. That really causes the blood to flow and I almost got caught having it last month with blood on my WHITE shorts. D: I have black ones, but they're a little longer than my white one which I'll never wear again... And I don't wear tampons.. Would Always Infinity pads be noticeable (like bulgy?) (I'm in eighth grade BTW)

Answers:

Something I realized with my period, is that it doesn't matter what kind of pad I would wear, blood would always find a way to leak out. I'm going to suggest going to the bathroom right before and right after you run. Try to get as much of the blood off your body as you can.

I use Kotex Overnights and those are long and thick as heck, and they still managed to leak.

And no, the pads won't be too bulgy and noticeable.

I really suggest Tampons when you're ready. They saved my life in high school.

i don't know but just give the tampons a try they work perfectly, you can't feel them, and it's not scary at all after you put it in. they are the best things ever invented!!!! but start out with the light or medium kind.

I'd suggest you stop using commercial pads like Always - these are generally bad as they prevent air flow and contain chemicals that make you sweaty down there, they can make you smell bad and cause infections too. In this case they're bad as they are uncomfortable and they gather-up too so don't give as much protection. Cotton pads like Natracare or Cottons may be better.

If sticking with pads go for brands like Lunapads http://www.lunapads.com or PIMP pads http://partypantspads.com these are FAR more hygienic and more comfortable than commercial pads like Always. They don't come unstuck or gather-up like commercial pads, as they're more comfortable they're better when active as not irritating as you run, and with pads like Lunapads you can add extra layers for more protection, there are also essentially built-in wings too.

Try period panties, either leak-proof styles like Sexy Period http://sexyperiod.com or Remii http://www.remiiunderwear.com, padded styles like Lunapanties http://lunapads.com/underwear.html or WeMoon https://www.wemoon.com.au/secure/index.p… - basically if you wear these with pads that's twice as much protection but not as bulky as wearing two pads and a hell of a lot more discreet.

If you are comfortable with internal products get a menstrual cup, such as a Mooncup http://www.mooncup.co.uk/wc.php?u=1741 these are internal like tampons but totally safe and more comfortable/easier to use. They can lessen flow and cramps, but also they can be worn with any flow for up to 12 hours, and don't leak like tampons or pads so much better for active girls.
