Question: Is it normal to have a period for 2 weeks? how about a month?
I have stopped the Depo birth control shot about 4 months ago and now i'm having a period for a week to about a month. I go to my OB/GYN and he tells me that it's just an after effect from the birth control. I'm not so sure about that one!!! Anybody have any suggestions to give me cuz i'm getting sick and tired of this bull!!!

try another doctor, female, one that doesn't brush you off with such an inane comment. It's not normal, even once you are off birth control, at least I never had it. I did bleed every few weeks though, and after a year a doctor finally found through an advanced pap smear that I had s cyst or some such thing that required day surgery, no pain, and everything was fine. Get yourself checked if it persists.
