ok ok ok, im 15 and i have had hair loss ( ive had a masive bald patch on my head ) its not cancer. You only lose your hair when you have treatment for cancer not as a symptom, its probally alopechia like i have its caused by stress! If your friend is stressing about it then she needs to stop, also i would suggest going into holland and barret and buying tablets called ''hair food'' ( 10 pound ) and the shampoo and conditioner that go with it ( about another 10 pound) trust me it really works my hair is now growing back. But honeslty its not cancer!

ok listen. Hair loss can happen for a number of reasons but NOT cancer. People have this treatment which is kind of like a special poison being entered into yourself to kill cancer cells. It is called Chemotherapy, you have probally heard of it. That is what causes hair loss, not the actual cancer.

She should go to the doctors if she is getting bald from it. Im sure she is perfectly fine :D

Sounds very much like alopecia, which is hair loss due to stress. It's not that rare and there is a British TV presenter, Gail Porter, who suffers with it. Unfortunately there is no cure.

I can't say what she has, but she's not losing hair because of cancer, unless she's getting chemo treatment, which I assume she's being treated for.

I hope she finds the right people to help her!
Best wishes
