It will, you just need to pull it harder.
If you have used one for a heavier flow and you're light now, the tampon would have widened yet still be dry, so it will be a pain to get out, but it will come out.
When you go onto light days, use a 'light' absorbency tampon.
Try using your fingers to separate the skin around your vag a little bit more. See if you can wiggle it out and get your fingers up in there a little bit. Otherwise try having someone you trust like your mom or aunt or bestest friend see if they can pull it out, I know it's gross but wouldn't you rather have that than have it stuck? If you still can't get it out, go to the doctor or the emergency room if it becomes a real problem.
try G's suggestion. also try just taking a deep breath and pulling. seriously just relax. If it still won't come out, then talk to your mom or someone you trust. maybe they can help or take you to/call the doctor. :)
