Question: Trying to calm my sister down?

I'm trying to convince my 16 year old sister that she's fine, but she won't listen. She wants more proof. This is what's going on according to her. She's supposed to be on her period, but she isn't. This is TMI, I know. She said she's just having a clear liquid come out of her vagina. Not a ton I guess, but a significant amount. She said it's completely clear and she is a virgin. (She's completely scared of sex) No period symptoms, except for slight tiny cramps. Any suggestions? She said it has no smell. Oh, and she said that she's had her period since she was 11, so for five years.

Okay! First!! That clear liquid is called discharge and it's completely normal to have it right before you period. If she is have slight cramps then her period will probably be starting very soon. Wear a pantie liner is the discharge is bothering her. Know, that some women have discharge all the time and some never have any. Some may or may not get discharge right before her period. It's all normal. If it has a foul smell or her vagina itches then she needs to make sure she is washing her self well and if it continues then maybe see a doctor. But that's only if her vagina itches or the discharge smells.

Take care and just let her know that it's normal and that her period will probably start with in a couple days or less.?

Even after five years periods can still be a little irregular. Has there been a recent change in her diet or weight or stress? Sometimes anorexia/bulimia can cause periods like that, or times when you are super stressed out can cause that.

Vaginal discharge is totally normal. This is how the vagina cleans and lubricates itself.
