Question: Super nauseous from birth control, advice?
I just started taking sprintec, which is generic for ortho try cyclen, and is making me super nauseous. I've been throwing up and having headaches all day. I just want to sleep all day, I feel like a zombi! I'm only on my second pill. I know it can take up to three months to straighten out. For the time being, is there anything I can do to help get rid of feeling sick and tired all day? I am taking them between 9 and 10, before I go to bed. I'm not sexually active. I get horrible horrible cramps so my doctor wanted me on birth control. Since I'm not sexually active would it be ok to maybe skip a pill and then continue on taking them? I don't want to give up on them since I've only been on them for two days but I'm completely miserable!

That happened to me when the dosage was too high. Call your doctor's office and leave a msg w/ your symptoms. Make sure you have a pharmacy phone # handy so they can call a new RX in for you if the doc wants to change it.
Ask to switch birth controls! Everyone reacts differently to different birth controls. Try something else... there is no reason to be feeling that miserable.
