WHAT WILL THE DOCTOR DO?!

Question: WHAT WILL THE DOCTOR DO?
IM goin to get and x ray for my finger. becuase im pretty sure its broken..

but what is the doctor goin to do to my finger?

some kids at my school said theyre gunna have to bend it back, and tell my to put my hand in a fist, and bend it and stuff, is that true??

Answers:

depends. It's probably not a compound fracture, since in those the bone sort of shatters with jagged edges that often puncture the skin. That's good, since those heal very messily.

If it's a clean break, depending where it is, you may need a steel splint on the finger for several weeks, and HUGE doses of calcium/magnesium and Vitamin D to help the bones knit. If the doc doesn't mention that, do it anyways. It'll help a lot.

It may be a dislocated joint, in which case it gets popped back into the joint, a few days in a splint, and a load of over the counter pain killers.

Best of luck to you!

Some Red Cross training.

Most likely they will tape it to the finger next to it with a splint ( like a piece of wood/metal that just sits next to it) to keep it straight. If it's badly broken they may have to do some surgery but it if you've been sent home and there is no swelling or nerve pain or tingles then probably not

Everyone has a different way of solving things.. Don't worry about it. If he does... It's for your own good. Just try not to think about what they say. It could be a joke?

Answer mine?

Warning... Explicit? :/ I hate doing this..

Well the kids at your school aren't doctors.
