Very odd feeling in my throat?!

Question: Very odd feeling in my throat?
For the past few day's I've had a very odd feeling in my throat that's difficult to describe. It's almost like it constantly feels I'm on the verge of throwing up but not quite. Even kind of like holding your throat closed (how it feels when you gulp or swallow food/water. It's like a round feeling, if that makes sense, feels heavy and at random moments will hurt when other times I'm just aware of it.

I don't see anything there and it's more distracting then painful. What does this sound, and what do you suggest? It doesn't appear swollen and nothings lodged in there. The only thing I've recently taken or done differently was the Plan B pill but I don't see why that's affect me now that was nearly a week ago...

Thanks in advance. P.s don't answer only with "Go to a doctor" I'm aware of that and have an appointment set up but it's not til later this month and I'd like more info. And I'm positive it's not a cold or strep throat or even tonsillitis.

Answers:

I had what it sounds like your describing. It felt like there was something stuck in my throat but there wasn't. It turned out to be GERD and the only thing that helps is taking a prescription acid reducer. They do sell OTC acid reducers like Prilosec OTC or Ranitidine.

May have to take antibiotics course

this is happening to me too! the bottom answers seem good!
