Girls...Period Question?!
Question: Girls...Period Question?
Answers:
No, it's not true.
Your tampon is inside your vagina, you urine comes from your urethra - two totally different holes. If you use tampons with strings then the urine can get on the string which is uncomfortable, it can also cause odour or the moisture can increase risk of developing a yeast infection (like wearing a wet swimsuit for too long - yeast love warm/moist environments), but just move the string out of the way before you pee and that's not a problem.
If using tampons you still have to use pads; overnight, during very light flow, before your period or if you have an infection, you can't use tampons during these times as it increases risks of TSS. Often girls who don't like pads actually don't like commercial pads like Always, most girls much prefer cloth pads like Lunapads or cotton pads like Natracare, these are far more comfortable. Consider a menstrual cup which are far safer and cleaner, they don't leak like tampons, and more convenient as can be worn overnight, with any flow, before your period and for 12 hours, so no need for pads!
completely fine.. the urinary tract and uterus (where you menstrual period comes out of) are two different and separate parts of the vagina.
only tip with wearing tampons is to make sure you change them more often during the beginning of your period to prevent overabsorption which then would leak
take care
Hahaa its fine to go to the toilet when you have got a tampon in!! it wont effect it at all! it wont even get the string wet! TRUST ME! x
