Question: Question about Plan B?
I took plan b on wednesday last week, and still havent gotten my period ( due on saturday), i didnt have a broken condom or unprotected sex, just a scare...Is it normal not to get bleeding effects a week after Plan B, bc i have taken it before n usually bleed in a week.
Iknow I am not preg. Took two tests....help?

Answers:

Emergency contraception can make you period early or late, or have no effect on it at all.

I highly doubt you're pregnant, but of course it's still possible even if you've taken plan B because it's only highly effective if you have not already ovulated. If you've already ovulated before you take it, the most it can do is alter the thickness of your uterus lining to make the egg less likely to implant.

Also it's not recommended to take emergency contraception more than once or twice in a lifetime

But yes, it's normal for it to make your period late.

All bodies handel it diff at diff times. I been twice and it was diff both times. By an extra Plan B to keep at home just in case so next time you can be 12 hours ahead. nu ff syd

but read on if you wish

I use V-C-F- spermicide no matter what other method is used but especially if I am on a 'PILL' or chem shot. in 12 years of Really Slutty Behaviour. I have only had two weekends Sweating the outcomes. and two Plan B s both worked for me as prescribed and the little pamphlet inside the box told me what to expect. also the Chemist/pharmacist told me . The Stupid Doctor didn't tell me No thing at all.

A late period is a very common side effect of the morning after pill. Give it a couple of weeks and if you don't start your period, test again. If you did happen to be pregnant, it could be too soon for a test to show positive now, anyway. Try not to stress about it, because stress itself can cause a late period.
