Where is a woman's cervix placed? WARNING: TMI?!

Question: Where is a woman's cervix placed? WARNING: TMI?
I have this uncomfortable sensation inside my vagina, i can't explain it but it's like when you are on your period you know how you get those shooting pains in your vagina? It's in that place but just without the shooting pains it feels uncomfortable but not painful I can't explain it properly and I want to know if it's the cervix? I think it's placed just on top of my vagina where the hard bone is.
I am sorry about the question but I just want to try and find out something and where abouts I am having this uncomfortable feeling

Answers:

Your cervix is way up inside, so it's unlikely that. The bone you mention will be the pelvic bone I'd think. Have you bumped or grazed yourself there somehow to make it sore? Maybe have a female doc or nurse give you a quick exam down there if the discomfort carries on :)

Edit: The feel of needing to pee points to Cystitis, a bladder infection - really common and easy to get rid off with drinking cranberry juice and medicated sachet drinks like 'Cystemme' :)

Think about the vaginal shaft if you will...it's the top most point before you enter the actual uterus.
