The one that I have has the battery thing at the bottom, and without the brush head, there is a little nub where it vibrates.

Better to use the brush head on your clitoris. Do NOT use a metal nub against it, or you will risk injury. Also not a good idea to insert the bottom in, if you are concerned about the battery cover coming off.
Just get a brush head that is dedicated for your masturbation and use something else for insertion. You can also go a Spencer's Gifts and buy a real vibrator, and you won't have to worry about any of that.
