urinary tract infection?!

Question: Urinary tract infection?
Can I just not go to the doctor and my uti will go away or do I need to get anti biotics for it? I really do not like talking about personal issues such as these if I do not have to. If I do have to get anti biotics for it then whats something that will make bringing it up with my mom and going to the doctor easier?

If your UTI is not severe. You can buy cranberry pills from the health food store. It will clear it up without going to the doctor and having to take medication. It comes in a capsule. Take two capsules 3 times a day at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Take them until your symptoms clear up. Also, make sure to drink a lot of water.

However, if you see blood when you pee or it stings really bad when you pee... Go to the doctor because you have an infection that may be a kidney infection if left untreated.

Been there done that.

All the doctor is going to do is ask you take a urine test so they can test it for a UTI. If you have one they'll give you prescription for it. And that's it. They wont need to look at you down there or anything.

Trust me, I've had 2 UTIs and they're not fun to have if they get bad, just go to the doctor because it's going to be less painful talking about then going through the physical pain if it gets worse. And you don't want it to get worse.

Don't drink anything with caffeine in it or non clear sodas. Drink lot's of water and/or cranberry juice if you can get some. Tylenol or ibuprofen can help the pain. If you do this and it lasts more than 2 days go to the doctor. They usually only give you that stuff that makes your pee orange, which is for muscle spasms and will tell you what I just told you. Most doctors try not give antibiotics much anymore if they can help it.

You could be a moron and keep your bladder infection secret, allowing it to fester and grow into a kidney infection that could destroy your kidney and kill you. Or you could grow up, get your *** to a doctor and start a course of Septra and have the whole thing over in a week. Your choice.
