HELP??!((GIRLS ONLY))?!

Question: HELP??!((GIRLS ONLY))?
Can you get your first period after having only one month of discharge?
I heard that it will take 6-12 months to get your first period. I have been getting really heavy discharge lately.Like I wore a pantyliner and it soaked my pantyliner, panties and my pants a little. So I asked my mom if this is normal. She said I will be getting my first period in a week to a month.

It all is at different times. You could think youll get it soon but it might come in a year or so. Just wait, it will come in time.

Yes, don't worry, this is completely normal! Actually that is basically exactly what happened to me when I got my first period. I still get discharge when my period is about to start.
You made the right decision by wearing pantyliners and talking to your mom. You probably should start carrying around pads or tampons so that you won't be caught off guard.
I hope this helps! :)
