Question: Yeast infection 24 hour pill question?

Ive had a yeast infection for about a month now, i've been to the dr twice, first time she gave me a cream that didn't help at all, now i got the 24 hour pill. I took the pill the day before and i'm still irritated in the area, not as much but enough to drive me insane.
She also gave me an extra pill incase needed, but i wanted to know if its normal that the infection hasn't gone away yet? should i wait to take the second pill or not?

if you are taking any sort of birth control, there's a high chance that that is the reason you got a yeast infection. The reason you get them is because the PH balance of your vagina is off causing yeast to grow. the easiest way I've heard to fix that is to drink plenty of cranberry juice. I levels out the PH balance causing the yeast infection to go away.
