Will skipping my period on birth control mess up my cycle?!


Question: Will skipping my period on birth control mess up my cycle?
I plan to skip my period this month by continuing with a new back of birth control and not taking the placebo pills. When I reach the placebo pills in my next pack, will it cause a normal period (same length, etc) or will skipping it this month affect next months?

I do not agree with the person who answered previously. I know many people who skipped the placebo due to upcoming vacation and they did postpone their period...I would however call your doctor to see if they recommend skipping two weeks to even out the years cycle.

you'll still get your period, you can't skip it. but you'll end up getting it twice as long/. well, my friend, by mistake sjipped the placebo pills and started a new pack. she still got her period but lasted quite a while longer and she had really bad cramps. i advise you to take them as prescribed.
