Girls who have used tampons........?!

Tampons don't make you loose. That's an insane thing to tell your daughter lol. I can give you my personal opinion though...I use tampons when I'm not bleeding heavily or when I'm out and about...grocery shopping, work etc. I feel more comfortable and less paranoid wearing a tampon out in public so I don't feel like people can see my " bulge " lol. When I'm bleeding heavier or just at home I stick with pads. Especially at night while I'm sleeping I'll use a pad also. I think tampons are perfectly fine to use if you use them the way you should. There can be some discomfort putting them in or taking them out. I've also realized that if I wear a tampon they increase my period cramping.

24 year old...my mother always told me to stay away from tampons...because " they can give you infections " ..... some mother's are just old fashioned.

they dont make u loose and toxic shock can happen but its unlikely. i have used tampons since i was in 5th grade. i agree with the other person about pads they make me feel gross. just try one. if u like them use them if u dont then use pads. ask a friend to borrow a tampon so u dont have to buy a whole box. if u like them then buy a whole box.

I've been using tampons since the second time I got my period. Pads make me feel gross and unsanitary. I really can't imagine wearing tampons. You can get toxic shock syndrome from them if you leave it in for an extremely long time. Once I left mine in for almost 2 days because I completely forgot about it, but I was fine. There are really no risks. They are comfortable and I think you should start using them.

I used a tampon, About my 2 time! At first to be honest its not comfy but after awhile you get used to it! I think pad are gross. You can get shock but its unlikely! Plus you can get a better chance of a yeast infection with pads!!

Your mom scared you out of using tampons? And youre 26....
