clear discharge on underwear while wearing tampon?!

Question: Clear discharge on underwear while wearing tampon?

Hello, last night i was wearing a tampon and when i went to the bathroom there was a clear discharge on my underwear. When i took the tampon out the discharge was only on the string end of the tampon at the opening of my vagina. Any idea why?
