Question: I had a laparoscopy on feb 4th. had bad pain from gas for 3 days. now a week later i have back/chest pain?
could this pain be from the nitrous oxide/gas still in my body? it's so bad i went to the emergency room last night because i thought i was going to die. they did an ultrasound of my chest and found nothing. i'm taking pain meds today but it's still horrible. if so, how can the gas be out of my system 3 days later and then a week later come back? it's not my shoulder like it was before. it hurts on my upper back and right between my ribs on my chest between my boobs (but in my abdomen) not on my ribs. what can this be? i'm in so much pain. thanks

I don't know what it can be but you got yourself checked out.
I had a hysterectomy in Dec. I know all about that gas pain from the CO they pump in you but mine only lasted a day.
Try and move around some.
