Vaginal health question?!
Question: Vaginal health question?
Answers:
First, you don't get a yeast infection from wiping front to back; that's how you would get a urinary tract infection - not the same thing.
Yeast infections usually occur from changes in the natural bacterial makeup of the vagina. Everyone has bacteria there but taking something like antibiotics or hormonal changes like those around your period can throw that natural environment off. Yeast loves to grow in a warm, moist environment. Some things to watch out for would be to make sure not to stay in a wet swimsuit for too long without washing and drying off. Wearing cotton underwear or using a panty liner and changing frequently might help. Sometimes medical conditions can cause this problem too (specifically diabetes - not that this means that you have it, just that it could cause repeat yeast infections as yeast feeds on sugar). It could just be that your infections are not fully treated and are returning. Some females are just prone to infections like this. It is a good idea to see the gynecologist. It could just be that you have irritation from the infection but not the actual infection.
Working in the medical field for 20+ years; three for a gynecologist.
first of all with any female in fection you need to see a doctor so you know how to treat it,Do not ever just go to the drug store and buy something..you can die or the infection can make it so you can never have kids this is nothing to fool around with...you get to a doctor soon, good luck
It sounds like it could be a bacterial STD like chlamydia or gonorrhea. Or you could have an unbalance of hormones which would increase your chance of repeatedly getting yeast infections. Defiantly go to your doctor because no matter what he/she will find out what it is.
Wiping back to front is more likely to cause a bacterial infection, not a yeast infection. Yeast infection medication will not treat a bacterial infection. You need to see a doctor.
Could be a bacterial vaginal infection. You need a pap smear to find out and get a different type of med. Mono stat does not work on bacteria.
