I have been missing my period?!


Question: I have been missing my period?
I'm 14 and have had my period for a littler under a year, and i'ma big cross country skier. coming into the ski season i had a normal period for about 3 months, but after november it didn't come in dec, jan, and now i've missed feb. i heard this could be because i excercise so much, but i lost no weight or had any other affects. is there anyhting i can do to bring it back? i've heard Apple Cider Vinegar works. i don't want to tell my mom, its noting to blow up over.

That happened to me until I was 16. I got my period for the first time at 12, it would be regular for a few months then I wouldn't have it for up to 7 months. It was just cause my body was slowly regulating itself. My mom had the same problem when she was a teen.
My advice is not to worry, its just your body going through puberty. Just stay healthy :)
If you want to try something, have 1-2 tbsp of flax seed per day. Grind it and put it on sandwiches, cereal, oatmeal, salads. It helps regulate hormones and has no side effects. It's considered a 'super food' because it is so good for you. It's what my doctor recommended when my period was irregular.
