Help with tampons? Please.?!

Question: Help with tampons? Please.?
So I tried putting a tampon in for the first time and I didn't get it all the way in. It was a little more than half way in so when I had to pull it out it hurt really bad and now I want to try again but it just hurt really bad so i don't want to mess up again. What should I do and what can i do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Inside the box there should be directions . But if you dont understand those then , when you take the tampon out of the rapper it should have 2 tub things on it *dont take those off cause you need it to get the tampon in right* . Put the applicator a inside a little bit then push the bottom tube up . take the aplicator off and dispose of it however. You should make sure that the tampon isnt sticking out at all and is all the way in so it doesnt cause you pain when you sit or walk or do pretty much anything . (so just make sure you cant feel the end of the tampon from the outside) It will probaly hurt a bit and feel really uncomfortable for the first little while but you will eventually get used to it . When you take it out pull on the string and push a tiny bit (so it doesnt hurt as much) . If the tampon is still dry then it could hurt a bit . Hope this helps you :) and trust me i was in the same posistion as you were the first time I used one lol .

me :)

If the tampon is new and dry it will hurt when taking it out, I know this sound disgusting but try urinating or even just splashing some water down there to add some moisture to make it less painful. Also if you are having trouble inserting the tampon all the way, try a lubricant like KY Jelly to ease the insertion. I had this problem when first using tampons and someone gave me that tip and it helped a lot.

Make sure that you insert the ENTIRE plastic part. When fully inserted, you should not feel the tampon at all :) Also, if you are still having trouble, try wetting the entire plastic part with water :)

Make sure you aren't dry. Squat slightly and angle back. Use a small size with a plastic round tip applicator.
