just got a sharp 'string like' pain from belly button to urethra!?!

Question: Just got a sharp 'string like' pain from belly button to urethra!?
I felt a wierd pulling sensation around what felt like my urethra, so I went for a pee and the pain was like a string connecting to both ends where I felt this intense sharp pain that just travelled from my belly button down to my pee hole.

Like when I urinated too 'hard' (if that makes sense) the sharp string like pain would pull..so I had to sort of control it and not pee too quickly lol because it hurt so much!

This has only happened once! and it was about half hour ago!

I'm sure I've had this pain before, I can't remember whether it was a UTI or something?...
but when I went to the hospital ages ago to get checked for something else, they found I had a UTI and I didn't even realise!.

At the moment the pain is mainly around my belly button, if I move too quickly it pulls!- along with my aching stomach muscles...

However, me and my boyfriend had a lot of sex at the weekend (protected) so I don't know whether thats caused a UTI to flare up? would the aching stomach muscles be another symptom? x

Answers:

It sounds possible you won't really know until you need to pee again but doing a urine sample and leaving it in won't hurt especially if you've already had a UTI undettected, always make sure when you have intercourse you pee beforehand if you need to and ALWAYS pee afterwards. Hope this helps.
