So I sprained my ankle last Wednesday...?!

Question: So I sprained my ankle last Wednesday...?
I have an aircast and everything, and I'm not able to take it off until the following Thursday.
But, they're two parties this weekend - one on Friday and one on Sunday. Friday is a club event, and Sunday is my younger friend's sweet 16.
Should I go to both of them? Now I know it'll be weird at the club (since I'm wearing an aircast and people would be dressed up in all sorts of things), but I really want to go to the sweet 16. Would it be okay if I take off my aircast for the night, and wear flats? (no heels)
I'm trying to see if I can ice it as much as I can this week.

Answers:

if you take off your air cast you could support your ankle with a bandage, which would help and be less noticeable. you might experience some pain so you can take some panadol and try to sit down as much as possible.

It's really too bad that your injury couldn't have been more courteous and happened at a less socially active time, hmm?
No, it would not be okay to subject your still-healing ligaments to a full night of being unstable and unsupported. The more you try to "accelerate" the healing process and will it to go faster, the longer it's going to take. Accept that you're going to be out of commission for a while and deal with it.

The sweet 16 shoudl be the one to go to. I would leave it on and still wear flats. Ask a doctor if you really want to take it off you might be fine because its a sprain not a fracture also if you do take it of be really careful i think they sell covers for them but im not sure- good luck and have fun!!!!!!!

Yeah.just don't do anything stupid ! I used to take off everything when I broke my feet.(I'm fine arent I)?
