I have a fear of blood and a period. help?!

Question: I have a fear of blood and a period. help?
The first time i got my period i passed out in my bathroom. my periods are also really irregular. I really can't stand them and practically live in fear of 'that time of month'. I'm only 14. so I know it's impossible to get my tubes tied at the moment, but I'm totally doing it in the future. I wish it would just stop, but i can't do that. SO, is there anything I can eat/do/etc that will make the flow lighter and take less time?
I don't get cramps, but there is always a lot of blood and that makes my dizzy. Help please and thanks ;( ?

Well getting your tubes tied doesn't actually stop your period, you would still have them... only getting a hysterectomy (removal of reproductive organs) but that would bring on menopause, which my mom says is really really annoying and terrible (plus going through menopause at a young age can screw things up).

I guess try wearing tampons, and when you take them out, don't look! Just remind yourself that it's your own blood and that's not scary.

I have a huge fear of people (not animal) blood. Just typing the word makes my feet go weak. But, my period doesn't scare me at all.

Go on birth control. It makes your periods lighter and shorter. Also, some birth controls (such as Seasonique) only makes you have 4 periods a year.

Someone I know had that problem but all you do Is don't look down & take birth control

BIRTH CONTROL!

your made of blood . DEAL WITH IT YOU ARE WOMEN

Now that sucks. More so than usual, too.

OK, first, let's look at your health. Are things OK otherwise? Anemia or anything blood related? Do you always faint or get ill at the sight of blood? We have some options here, is why I ask.

Honestly, I would avoid tying your tubes until you are positive you do not want children. Even if you are gay, be sure. It may work to reverse them, and it may not. As of yet, I don't know of anything 100% permanent. So, hold this off until you are really sure (OK, until you get older. Things change with age).

Many of the forms of birth control out there today control and/or stop your period completely. THis would be my option, even if you don't have sex. Your argument is clear. You cannot faint every time you go to the bathroom during your period. It isn't safe, at the least. But, if you are anemic, then this can be a medical reason too. No, you don't have to be having sex. Though, it is never a bad backup. Normally, I hate Birth Control, but this is a little different. Just don't smoke and keep an eye on your health, while on it, OK?

Anemia can be a problem, if it isn't a 'mental' issue with the blood. Some people simply cannot stand blood. I was like this, until I got covered in it once, and that changed pretty quickly. I don't recommend that. But, Anemia can be a bigger problem. There are things you can eat to help out, but you really need more medical treatment than home treatment. Iron and such used to be old tricks, but even some people cannot eat enough to help out. Also, a test to show this is really good, as it can also help you get BC if there is a problem with your parents (worry is the most common).

Of course, all of this is IF you are healthy, otherwise. A doctor, with an ounce of sense, will help you decide. I wish you the best. Take care, OK?
