Not really sure what to think?!
Question: Not really sure what to think?
Answers:
Some flus and viruses are contagious before the symptoms start to kick in. Your friends would have had the stomach bug before they knew it, and therefore you being around them before is enough for you to have gotten it.
One example is the chicken pox. Chicken pox is contagious most before the spots appear, and when the spots are open and weaping. The same is true for gastro(stomach bug that your friends most likely have). You may be feeling a bit yucky in the tummy for the first few days, but then towards the end, feel completely run down, vomiting, diarrea, ect. Funny enough, this can be the least contagious time, as your body is finally getting rid of the virus.
Starve it off(no food what so ever) for the next 24 hours(you will survive, believe me), and only sip at drinks such as Pedylite or Gatorade(gatorade does have too much sugar, though, and should only be a last resort) as these drinks will keep you more hydrated than water, and will replace electrolytes and salts that you have lost from vomiting and loose BMs.
Your period will be back. Trust me. It may take a bit of time for it to regulate, but it's not like you bleed once for so many days and then never again. You may even find that your period for next month comes earlier than expected.
As long as you haven't had unprotected sex(I mean either without birth control or without condoms, btw), then the brown discharge is your body preparing for your next period. Your body is just trying to regulate it, so I would be expecting some spotting or brown discharge for the next little while(not continuously, I mean between periods, lasting only a day or so).
Best of luck!
I'm a 21 year old female. I have had many bouts of gastro before, and have seen it in many kids and adults, too.
i don't really understand the question? it's a jumble of like 3 different things
- your friends have stomach flu
- you think you have it,but you can't have got it because you haven't seen them
- you have nausea and stomach ache
- you're hungry
- brown discharge
- you just started your period
so confused!
lol. first of all. did no one tell you when you first get your period, it might take a year until it becomes regular. So yea, you can get your period again.
second. some diseases are very contagious when the symptoms are not showing yet.
so your friends already had the flu and didn't even know it.
same goes for you.
