Period cramps and such, during class?!

Question: Period cramps and such, during class?
Mother nature decided to leave me a big of a present on Valentine's day,
My first period!
Yay! Haha... well...
I was in class today, and surprise, surprise, my cramps started getting worse.
The cramps aren't too bad, but sometimes they get worse, just for a little while,
My mom wouldn't let me take any medication for it, most likely,
But what should I do?
Sometimes I get a headache too.
But my main question,
Craps during class, how to deal with them?
Thanks in advance!

Fill a water Bottle with hot water and lay it over ur stomach. Also bring a makeup bag filled w/ a survival kit. Extra pads, tampons, body spray in case u have feminine odor, and a few pieces of chocolate for when ur feeling really down. Oh and an extra sweatshirt to tie around ur waist in case ya leak. Happy period! Welcome 2 the club

That's so cool! Congrats. And what a coincidence - I got my first period on Valentine's Day at couple of years ago.
Ok, tell your mum that your cramps are not going away and that that they hurt so much that it's a distraction to you in school, etc. If she will let you, you could try a pain killer specially made for menstrual camps, like Midol or Tylenol Menstrual (they are pretty much the same thing). I don't recommend taking more then one at first though. I took 2 Tylenol Menstrual pills and I was pretty dizzy. One had no side affects. So you could try that. Or you can tell her that you just want plain tylenol and take 2 of those or something. Anyway, eating a banana and drinking water slowly can help. Exercise can also help. Good luck. Some puberty books can give you more advice.

If you are over 13 it is safe to take 4 tablets of ibuprofen (but absolutely no more!) This is prescription strength and will actually help to decrease the inflammation around that area at that dose. If nothing else you can excuse yourself to the rest room. I know this hurts a lot, its worst the first time though.

when cramps get to me, i usually go to the nurse. she'll usually let ya lay down and give ya a heating pad. they. work. so. good. lol. but, yeah. go to the nurse... she'll help ya out big time. my nurse is my best friend when i get them stupid cramps in class, hun. good luck, darlin'.

Why wouldn't your mom let you take medication? Even just Ibuprofen would help a lot. Other than that there's not much you can do.
