Question: I'm going to a camp this summer, and in the camp, there's a camping trip. What if I get my period?

Okay, so this summer, I'm going to a sleep away camp. And in the sleep away camp there various amount of programs. I signed up for one, and before I did (about a month before) I got my first period. I seem to be regular, though. Anyways, the program I signed up for was a trip away from the campground to go actual camping in the woods. What if during my 2 nights there, my period is irregular and I get it during that time? There aren't bathrooms, so I can't just bring pads/tampons (I'll be swimming) Please Help!

Well if you get your period, you'll just have to bring pads/tampons and store the used ones in a plastic bag until you return from your camp.

It's really unpleasant and smells bad if you don't store them properly, but it can't be helped D:

Another option would be to take some medication (not sure which one, but a friend of mine takes it whenever we go for camps and whatnot) to stop your period.

Contact the program directly and ask to speak with someone who has been on the program before, or ask to speak to a woman counselor.

This question is definitely not knew to them and not something they did not have to deal with. It is a legitimate question.
