Question: Is it normal to have your period for 9days or more?
im only 13 years old and this is the second time i have had my period. the first time it lasted 8 days but this time i got it feb.8.2011 and it kinda stoped on the 16th but then i noticed it started to come out again is this normal.btw im not sexual active or whatever and no pills

no, that's a long cycle. you should see a doctor. but im sure everything is ok, you might just have some overactive hormones.



your body is still getting into a rhythm of the whole period thing so that might be the problem. but is you start bleeding too much for too long you might need to tell someone. It really all depends on how much blood you are losing on those nine days. If your period starts out slow, then get heavy then slows back down, that might be normal. but it you are heavy each of the nine days and you feel tiered or weak that might be a problem. just make sure you see your doctor regularly for check ups so he can make sure you are developing the way you should!

Your period will be irregular the first couple of years. It's uncommon for it to last that long, but it's okay. You're normal.
