No period at 13 years old. Am I normal?!

Question: No period at 13 years old. Am I normal?
I am the only remaining girl in our grade level and age group in school that has not started her period.

I am getting really concerned because I already started developing my breasts a year or a year and a half ago yet I am not getting my first period.

I have had discharges for more than probably two years or so yet no period.

I am really scared because I saw a documentary on this girl who has not gotten her period and so when she reached 18, she went to the doctor and she was informed that there or she is abnormal and so she will never be able to get her period and she will never be able to have children.

I fear that I too am abnormal. Please help me. I am 69 pounds and around 4'11'' to 5'0''. I have had all my other body parts develop or are currently developing but my menstruation hasn't started.

Everyone else has their period so much more sooner than mine.

Please help.

Don’t worry
Every girl has different age of getting periods and going through puberty
So don’t think that you will also get your periods at that age only at which your any female relative like mom/sister got hers.
In the starting you may/may not start to get vaginal discharge
After some days (if you’ll be getting discharge), it will have a little blood and it’s your periods

We girls get our irregular periods between the age of 9-16 years
That means, when you will be between 9 – 16 years, sometimes you may get and sometimes not so don’t panic about it

Get ready and use pads.
When periods are light, then use normal sized pads
If they are heavy, then use pads of large size such as 320 mm also lay an old cloth on your bed when you sleep. The cloth should be towel sized and lay it around your butt area because that is the area where blood can leak

Never use a tampon as –
1) It has many risks
2) It causes our hymen to break
3) It causes a lot of pain to insert them
4) They cause TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome)
5) They contain bleach which is bad for our health

BUT, pads do not have such risks; they are easy to wear, comfortable and hygienic.

Quit worrying about it; you're only 13. Enjoy this time that you don't have to mess with it. The documentary you watched is some far fetched one in a million thing that just got you worked up.
Why are all you girls in such a hurry to grow up? Just relax about it. There's nothing wrong with you.

Well, some girls will get their period since 9 yeas old. But mostly the age for getting period is 9 to 16/17 .for u it's normal . Period it's depends on oneself hormones and growth.you should not worried much ;) everything will be fine . I got my period when I'm 12

So all the best ;)

I don't know too much about this being a guy and all but I once heard my grandma telling my cousin that she didn't get hers till she was 18. She had four kids. Don't worry about it too much, see a doctor if your concerned.

Yes!, its normal! trust me you will get it sooner or later! but it will come when you least suspect it!

It is normal!!! It is not fun to have it!

its very early...it will come dont worry x

You're certainly VERY NORMAL. My friends mom got her period at 15. Late, but she's completely normal. I've gotten mine when I was 14. Haha. Late bloomers, but you'll get yours when your body feels ready. Don't look at your friends or whatever, everyone is different. Some people get their periods later, and some very early. It depends on your genes.

So don't worry chick you're indeed very normal :)

My other friend is 4'11 and 86lbs but she got her period at 12.
So just because you aren't exactly the tallest person around doesn't mean a single thing.
haha.
