Pain when passing urine?!

Question: Pain when passing urine?
Hi. I just need a little advice please. Since valentines day ive had a bit of pain when passing urine, and when i got the toilet i can only pass a little urine at once. Valentines night me n my partner had a LOT of sex and we used sex toys etc, im just wondering if this could be the reason. I know pain when passing urine is also a symptom of chlaymidia too, but i was treated for that about a year ago and have been with the same partner since. Any ideas what it could be please? thanks.

You probably overdid it and bruised yourself down there. You might well have what is called "honeymoon cystitis" called such because years ago most couples waited until their honeymoon before having sex for the first time and the woman often go symptoms such as you are describing. It is simply caused by the tissues around your urethra swelling up due to being bruised slightly. It should subside in a day or 2. Make sure you use plenty of lubrication and take things a bit easier another time, most dildos/vibrators are much more solid that a penis and its easy to over do it.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water/clear fluids to help flush bacteria out of your bladder. Not drinking will make your urine more concentrated and it will sting more.

Other than that you may well have a urine infection, your would need to get a sample of urine tested by your family doctor and he/she will prescribe antibiotics to clear it up if need be. Drinking cranberry juice is very beneficial for bladder problems, it stops bacteria adhering to the bladder wall.

It looks like you've got an urinary tract infection. At least the symptom you described points to that. I don't think it's chlamydia, since you've been with the same partner (who is faithful to you, right?) and you say you treated it. Sometimes a treatment proves to be inefficient and it can only make the things worse, by hiding the symptoms for a while, until they start to manifest again. But these are only guesses and you should get checked by a specialist. The sooner, the better. I hope it helps!

you might still be swollen.
however, it can be very serious if your body can't get rid of urine.
infection and renal failure can happen. see a doc, as it's now been a few days.
(don't worry, they've heard it all)

OT

The 2 likeliest options are mechanical trauma and UTI. Start by sending an MSSU in to your GP and in the meantime drink plenty of fluids. (No advantage in making that cranberry juice.)

GP for more years than I care to remember

cystitis

sounds like cystitis, go to your docs they will give you tablets, dont worry, its cool

thrush, water infection, or std go to a DR
