I have a tilted pelvis, what's the best method for removing the Diva Cup wi!

Question: I have a tilted pelvis, what's the best method for removing the Diva Cup without spillage?
I just bought the Diva Cup. I'm never sure if I have it in right. I can't even get it to twist once it's in, but I do think that it's fully open (although there's some leakage). Anyway, the biggest issue seems to be removing it. It's so messy. It's pretty impossible to remove it without squeezing it and then it spills everywhere. This makes it impossible to remove in public bathrooms. I loved Instead but had the same problem, so I switched to Diva Cup and thought it'd be easier to remove because Diva Cup has a stem and doesn't need to be hooked back. Any tips for removing?

I'll add that I do have a little bit of a pelvis tilt, and I've had a couple weird doctor's visits where the doctor couldn't find my cervix right away (male and female doctors) so I don't know if there's something wrong up there and this is why I'm having trouble removing and positioning the Diva Cup.

I own a Diva Cup and have for many years. It probably took me six months to master the insertion and removal technique that worked for me.

For removal, if I am quite heavy I will dump it out more frequently because I don't want it to overfill. I cut off the stupid tip at the end (I think I can find something inside my vagina without a stem, thank you!) and I just pinch lightly at the sides, to gently pull it out. It also helps if you have good Kegel control and can "loosen" to aid in the removal. Again, practice. And yes, you will get some blood on your hands removing it, as there will be some on the walls of your vagina, but it's much more effective than pulling the stem.

For placement, this is different for each person. But I had lots of spillage in the first six months. I found that I usually had not actually covered the cervix properly, and this was the cause of many of my mishaps. I found it took adjusting the cup inside of me, and feeling around my cervix with a finger to know I had the proper placement. I practiced this with lube when I wasn't menstruating after my 5th menstruation with the thing. And that worked wonders for me!

Since your pelvis is tilted and doctors have had troubles finding it, make sure you know very well where it is inside you. Get those freshly washed fingers in there and find out what is going on. This, combined with some lube and fiddling, should help you figure out a position that works for you.

Keep in mind though, not everybody can wear one.

Life.
