Question: Why am i in so much pain? vaginal delivery?

i had my baby monday and came home yesterday and im in so much pain i cant walk. i called the nurse twice and she said to take ibuprofen and use this stuff called theraworx but i dont know where to even get it. i can hardly walk and it doesnt seem like this for most women it seems like their pain goes away in a couple of days. i had an episiotomy and tore up to my clitoris and have a ton of stitches. is there any product i can buy that will help? please if you know of any..i dont feel like this is normal..

you'd have to call the pharmacy for the theraworx..not sure what it is...do they have you doing that sitz bath thing...soaking in water etc....You can also add salt/emspom salt, witch hazel, or essential oils ( tea tree oil, or lavender oil) to your sitz bath to relieve episiotomy pain and speed up the healing process. Can also try icepack wrapped in cloth so not direct on skin

Most women do not require "a ton" of stitches, so you would obviously be experiencing more discomfort than other women. Theraworx is a cream that will clean and keep your stitches hydrated, lowering your chances of infection and reducing discomfort and itching associated with their healing. You should be able to find it at any pharmacy.

Everyone handles pain differently. Never heard of therworx, but when my wife delivered and had a bunch of stitches, she was told to sit in a medium warm bath a few times a day. Just for a few minutes.
