Question: I need info on ovarian cysts pleaase help someone! :(?
first off how do they check to see what kind of cysts they are? and do they have to be removed? will i have to get my mirena removed? and lastly will i still be able to have more kids?

Hi,
I have pocs, most the time the cysts don't need to be removed because they go away by themselves its only in rare cases they need to be removed - this would be done through key hole surgery but poses many risks such as taking away the whole ovary and uterus etc also bladder scar's.
They will do an ultra scan and blood work to see how big the cysts are and work out a plan of action for you - most the time it involves going on a pill. If you have POCS there is a chance you may never conceive but that's not always the truth, they should put you on metformin this will help with weight loss and insulin levels, it will also make u ovulate. If you have problems with getting pregnant the metformin should resolve this if not it will be paired with clomid - this is an inexpensive drug.
