Yes it's normal. It's also normal for it to be longer than that. When you first start getting your period there is sometimes fluctuation from month to month and you may not even get your period every month at first. Sometimes it could be very light and other times very heavy. After a while you'll become more regular and know what to expect from month to month as you learn what is "normal for you"

And yes, consider your self lucky. Mine lasts 10 days and unfortunately that's "normal for me" yuck!

It's completely normal! And your body is probably just not used to this change, especially for your first time. That means you'll probably miss some periods too later (doesn't mean you're pregnant) on. And don't forget to eat your protein from all the blood you're losing!

A "normal" period lasts 3-8 days on a 27-32 day cycle, but if you're irregular at first(3 days a month, then nothing for the next month, then maybe 5 the next) that's perfectly normal too.
