Question: My friend is nearly a week late on her period... why?
she was meant to come on her period on saturday, but hasn't yet. she is quite young (12) but has had her periods for about 2 years. AND NO DEFFO NOT PREGNANT!! - i made sure since shes so young. so what could it be?

It's normal. It typically takes up to 5 years for a woman to become regular. No worries for her. Stressing will only make it delay more.
Its normal, irregular periods are perfectly normal, tell her (p.s. I know the "friend" is you) she(you) shouldn't worry, you'll get it soon. :))
