What Birth Control PIll worked best for you?!

Question: What Birth Control PIll worked best for you?
My current "need" is period regulation and well to prevent getting pregnant

Ive been on:

nordette-i cant remember why i quit...i wanna say worse cramps?
*avaine-currently on, light periods but "dry" vagina all month
ortho-tri cyclen-gave me horrible cravings the 3rd week
nuva ring-made me smell bad/breakout
yasmin-quit because of the "kidney problems"

I want to stay on the pill for acne, periods,
i just want some opinions from other girls...

I like ocella a whole heck of a lot but it's the generic for yasmin, and has the same active and inactive ingredients so I doubt you would like that.

I just think you should maybe take into consideration that you'll probably never find a birth control pill that doesn't have any side effects. I mean you can't trick you body like that without some consequences. But when you do try another also make sure you stick with it for at least three months to give your body a chance to adjust and really test it out before you decide to quit. Unless the symptoms are really dangerous of course. So just keep that in mind, good luck.

From the brands you listed I'm guessing you're in the U.S. because I've been on three of those and that's where I live, so here's a few websites that explains and compare different birth control pills available in the states. If you're in the U.K. or somewhere else I'm pretty sure a lot of them would be available there too, but these lists are usually classified by availability per country so forgive me if my assumption is wrong. Maybe if you can figure out more about the ones you were on you can figure out what it was about them that made them not work for you, and then use that to pick another one.

I know this is more information than you wanted, but generally when picking birth control I find reviews and recommendations to be pretty worthless. Everyone's body is way too different, and reviews are often written as "warnings" by raving women angry about the birth control that didn't work for them. So research regarding facts is probably going to be key for you in your decision, I know it was for me.

I'm on ortho tri cyclen lo. It is different than the ortho tri cyclen. I have no bad side effects have had no problems.
