Been on my period for almost a full month now. Help?!

Question: Been on my period for almost a full month now. Help?
The doctor put me on the pill due to problems I had with my period and I was told to take them from the first day of my next period. That was January 29th. It's the 18th now and I am still bleeding, I've used an entire box of pads now and I'm still getting cramps. My 18th bday is in a week and I don't really want to go out still on my period. Should I talk to my doctor or is this normal on the pill? Will it stop soon?

Not normal - go back to your physician.

Go to your doctor.

Why do so many people post questions like this on Yahoo Answers instead of just going to their doctor?

Does the cost of health care in the usa have something to do with it?

Go back to the doctor as soon as you can. That is definitely not normal; the pills could be knocking your hormones out of wack.

Seriously, you should talk to your doctor.
