On birth control, & NO period!?!

Question: On birth control, & NO period!?
I've just got on birth control a month ago, and I reached the point where I'm taking the placebo pills because I'm suppose to be getting my period. Its the second day on the placebo pills and I have yet to get my period! I took a pregnancy test, its negative. Could something be wrong, or is this normal?
I didn't spot at all during the first month I took it. I always have irregular periods normally, some times I'll go months without having a period, then have it again. But I thought the pill is suppose to help regulate things. So I'm a little concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this PLEASE!

You shouldn't start bleeding until you're 3-4 days into your sugar pills. You're completely fine.

Don't be concerned, it's normal for your period to go a bit haywire when you start birth control. Very light or even skipped periods is one of the side effects of many pills, but it's nothing to worry about. Also, you may still get your period while taking the rest of your placebos, I'm on Loestrin and I usually get mine the second or third day of the placebos.

I don't have any experience with birth control pills, but since you just started, it can take your body some additional time to get used to it.

I had like a really long period so my doctor gave me birth control pills to stop it. Maybe the pills are stopping it or whatever. <3
