Am I anemic or just have low iron? What should I do?!

Question: Am I anemic or just have low iron? What should I do?
I'm 16 years old, and I'm female :). Last year, I was noticing that I constantly felt sick. Especially during my periods... I got intense cramps, my flow was so heavy it was uncontrollable and I felt dizzy, faint and felt like I was gonna puke every time I was on it. So, I went to the doctors and they did tests and told me that there was nothing wrong with me.

Now, I have the same symptoms but they're getting worse... especially now that I'm on my period. I had to stay home one day this week. In the morning, when I look at my face in the mirror its like a ghost. But then I take a shower and put on makeup and its less pale.

I'm honestly SO tired of feeling this way. I take iron every so often because apparently iron deficiency runs in the family. But, it doesn't really seem to help to be honest.

I think I have all the symptoms for anemia... even the cold hands and feet, CONSTANT fatigue, occasional depression etc. Should I see my doctor again. He was pretty useless last time.

What do you think I have?

PS, 2 weeks ago I changed my diet and stopped eating red meat. Because I don't like it and I feel bad for the animals. Could that have something to do with it?

Today in school I felt like I was going to pass out, its getting really bad and I need some advice!

Answers:

Tell your doctor he need to start doing his job and start taking blood samples and telling you what's up. It sounds like you have really low iron.

Loss of iron can make you dizzy. Eat meat and other iron rich foods. Hope I helped!

i think u should go to the doctor it sounds like ur anemic but just ask...
