Birth Control Pills at Planned Parenthood?!

Question: Birth Control Pills at Planned Parenthood?
I'm 17 and turning 18 soon, I've been on depo but absolutely hate it! and I'm wanting to switch to the birth control pills. What kind of birth control pills does planned parenthood have? Do you have to make an appointment each month to get a prescription for the birth control? What happens when you go for them? How much would it cost?

Yes you have to make an appointment. They have many different kinds of birth control pills, it all depends on what you and your health care provider think is best. Whether you have to go every month generally changes from area to area, they may give you one and you just go and pick up your prescription with one sheet, or they will right you a new one each time. Most Planned Parenthoods perform a pelvic exam and sometimes a pap smear before they prescribe birth control, they want to make sure you are as healthy as possible. How much it costs will depend on your age, and how much you make.
