What are the signs of your first period coming?!

Question: What are the signs of your first period coming?
Hi i am 12 (almost 13) years old, and all my friends are starting their periods! i only have a handful of friends that i can think of that haven't had theirs either, and im getting jealous! i know that everyone says, "it's painful, enjoy the time you have without it" but i want it so i can fit in with everyone and have something to talk about with everyone! What are the most common signs of your period coming? i have a good amount of armpit hair, tons of pubic hair "down there", and i have had vaginal discharge for almost a year, yet i have small boobs. Am i showing close signs? i know you cant tell for sure, but how long do you think i have?

Menarche -
Your first menstrual period is referred to as menarche. You will probably notice it as a blood spot on your underpants when you go to the bathroom or change your clothes. This blood spot can look dark brown or bright red, so don't be concerned if it isn't the color you expected. You can use either a sanitary pad or tampon to catch the blood that comes out. From now on, you will receive a menstrual period according to a cycle that your body determines

Primary disamenorrhea-
usually begins within a year or 2 of your first period. The pain is spasmodic and colic-like or cramping. This type of pain occurs when your period begins (or just before) and lasts about 2 to 3 days. It is thought to be due to forceful contractions of your womb (uterus) brought about by prostaglandins.
Prostaglandins are normal hormones that are produced by the body. They stimulate contractions of your uterus during your period and are responsible for contractions in childbirth, during labour. The contractions are painful because they compress the blood vessels to the uterus, cutting off the blood supply and depriving the tissues of blood

u get terrible pains in ur lower stomach, u get bloated, you have mood swings, and sometimes spotting occurs, you'll probably start it soon, and i think your friends are more jealous of you lol

Your body knows whens best to start your periods, it's different for everyone, there is no way of knowing when your periods will start, it depends on your brain, reproductive organs and hormones.

From puberty it takes time for hormones to act on your ovaries to start periods, but you should get periods within four years of starting puberty. Your body will change with puberty; discharge, pubic hair, gaining weight and getting taller, these changes start to happen long before your periods, but they do show you that you are going through puberty so periods aren't long off.

The sort of signs you may get are the sort of signs you may not notice, your discharge will change for example, but you may not notice the change until you're more used to getting periods. You may get possitive signs such as feeling more energetic, more aroused, or getting firmer breasts, or you may get negative signs such as cramps, feeling moody, or acne - all these things can be avoided.

For now just make sure you know how best to deal with your periods once you have them, and think about how you are going to celebrate once you do get your first period. Take a look at these sites to give you a bit more information about these things;
