It could. I had this friend in elementary school and she drank loads of coffee. Into junior high, she was so short, just over three feet. She never grew over 4'0. People think she's a dwarf. Who knows if it had anything to do with the coffee or not. Coffee can stunt the growth if children start drinking it too young. It's not going to shrink a grown adult, but it can slow down the growth of a younger child.

its an old wives tale. Coffee or tea do not stunt growth. My sister and I drank our mom's coffee and tea from very early on, we would use the milkettes and steal coffee and tea, my little cousin caught on as well. I'm 29 years old and 5'10", my sister is a little shorter than I. My cousin is just about to turn 13 and towers over her 5'4" mother at easily 5'8". It's genetics, not caffeine. My parents were both on the taller side for their generation, they'd be 65 and 66 this year. While my cousin is shorter, her daughter is tall like her ex who is 6'7". My 2 year old has taken a liking to mine and my hubby's tea, but he's already almost the size of the average 4 year old, both of my boys are tall, and would take hot chocolate any day of the year, also has caffeine content.

At 18, you are just about done growing, you may get to 5', but I wouldn't worry about that. It sounds like you might be talking about an ulcer, which coffee will irritate terribly.

Yeah imi think its caffeine that stunts growth
