Bladder infection symptoms but test is negative?!

Question: Bladder infection symptoms but test is negative?
I frequently need to pee and my bladder hurts. When I walk I feel pain in my bladder and pressure. I went to the doctor and had a urine test but it was negative for a bladder infection. The pain isn't excruciating,it's quite mild but still troubling.

What could be wrong? My doctor wasn't conceded at all which was very frustrating.

I am on Dilantin 400mg day which I started about a week ago (for epilepsy). It gave me severe stomach pain the first few days and then constipation but I am ok now.

I would like some ideas what the bladder pain and symptoms could be.

Thank you

Hello. There is something called Internal Cystitis ( not sure if that's the correct spelling ), which has the same symptoms as a UTI, or a bladder infection. I have it, and i've also had many UTI's, and the symptoms feel the same for both things. Just something to look into. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.
