Need health answers. Doctors are wrong?!

Question: Need health answers. Doctors are wrong?
I'm 24. I have done everything that the doctors have told me to do & nothing works. I have been to about 7 different doctors. I started my period when I was 17. Its never accurate. I never know when it's coming. I have been told I have PCOS. I am in tears when my monthly comes. Tylenol or any pain medicine helps. I can go without a period for up to 6 months & I can have one for about 3 months straight. I'm not on any birth control or medication. I have tried birth control & it makes my period worse. Recently I wentt to the ER for pain in my stomache. It gets worse when I lay down at night. It was hurting me really bad on the right side & shooting pain to my lower back & peeing too much. Thought I was pregnant cause I didnt have a period since July 2010. They told me I was constipated and to get this drink from Walgreens and it will go away. Well I drank it, it was really sour. It just made me go to the bathroom alot. Every test they did, they said looked fine. I don't understand that because I use the bathroom just fine. It is now almost the end of Feburary 2011 & things are getting worse. I had a period in January and it lasted 3 days. Then this month I had a period and it didnt even last 3 hours. I have the pain on my right side now, still peeing a lot, I don't sleep, I have to take sleeping pills to sleep and now there not working cause I was taking them everyday. The last 4 days it keeps getting, I have been getting shooting pain under my left breast that last for about 5 seconds. I'm sick of doctors telling me lies and saying I'm fine. I'm tired, I get grumpy, I don't have energy to do really anthing. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

I really think you need to get on Birth Control. BC can regulate your periods, and possibly help with your mood swings.

Don't be afraid to go to your doctor, tell them what you wrote here and ask as many questions as you can. It helps to be informed, and it also helps them to let them know that you are worried about this! I don't think it's that big of a deal, but don't EVER be afraid to ask questions about your health if you aren't sure.

There's a lot you can do to help yourself naturally to regulate your bodies hormones and relieve the symptoms of PCOS. I know - I did it! It is a lifestyle related metabolic condition and the constipation may well be an indication that your diet is not as good as it should be. The lack of energy is also related to PCOS and blood sugar imbalances which can cause you to feel tired and grumpy. Figures vary but it's reported many women with PCOS are insulin resistant - your body cannot process sugar as it should, causing high and lows in blood sugar levels which cause mood swings.

There are many women who use a natural approach - it's not costly with fantastic results. There are many books available to give you advice on how to change your lifestyle (it's not difficult and you'll feel all the better for it) - just do a search on Amazon for PCOS diet :)
