Can i use tampons without my mom knowing?!

Question: Can i use tampons without my mom knowing?
Hi im 14 and i had my period since first grade(Still kinda irregular) But i want to use tampons, every time i use pads i smell it and worry about other people smelling it. Also it doesn't cover me up all the way like i use one and on the front part there's a lot of blood on my panties. Can i use tampons? My friend gave me one and i felt WAY more comfortable. How can i buy some without my mom knowing?she still thinks i can not use them. I am VERY mature and responsible

You can do whatever you want with your body, so yes, you can. But I'm pretty sure you did not get your period in first grade. Highly unlikely...

ive worn tampons for 3 or 4 months now without my mum knowing, disposing of them at school. Luckily I haven't had my period when i dont have school, however i have several times wrapped them in tissue and hidden them in another bag with another pad, my mum isn't going to look through my bin, and she jasnt found out jist yet, i cant get th courage to tell her I wear tampons, were not close at all, so good luck! :) hope i helped x

Just explain to your mother that you feel more comfortable and cleaner using tampons. She is just probably scared that you will get toxic shock syndrome which is really scary. I think that if you talk to her a bout it she might hear you out. I am in my 20's and I really like using pads. Tampons just freak me out.

Why don't you try the Kotex brand of pads they work really well. If you are worried about a smell just change your pads often and take an extra shower.
