Answers:

androgens = male hormones, testosterone is only one of them

Hair growth in your body is not usually related to the level of androgens in your blood. Most women with more hair have absolutely normal androgen levels (if you're really worried you can have your doctor do a blood test). The reason is that their own cells are more sensitive to the androgens than other women; this is genetic and was inherited through your parents. Women on either your mother or father's side had more hair. This is very common!.

There are other possibilities, such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia (not uncommon in the US, don't know where you are from), and other diseases. However, you would be having other problems, and by that time your family will take you to see a doctor.

Your BMI is less than 20, so you are not overweight. Some women who have more hair growth because they have increased insulin resistance and they are overweight (look up diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome).

Don't ever be ashamed of yourself or your body. Be confident, smile, flirt, and do what you need to do to keep yourself pretty. You should know that lots and lots (did I say lots?) of women out there have hair growing in "different" places, have boyfriends, get married, and have children who also have more hair (why do you think these genes keeps getting passed on?).

I study medicine

it is because of testosterone and you cannot help it, however more people have it than you may think, if your self concious and want to boost your self esteem, id recommend getting rid of the hairs! Do not shave though, for the upper lip, tweeze or thread, bit by bit so no one notices it suddenly disappear, and if you're not allergic, hair removal cream for your stomach! You can get special hair removale cream for facial hair which you could try but don't use the body one - its not sensitive enough! If you do go with this option always get sensitive! Even if you dont have sensitive skin, use it - it works just as well! And every girl has hairs on their legs, shaving is fine there :) im sure you'vw heard of other treatments like waxing or laser hair, but waxing hurts! and laser removal its extreme - in my opinion, hope i helped :) x

It very well could be, don't let that cause low self esteem, be a good person, that;s what matters, These silly cookie cutter images of what a person is supposed to look like are not reality, a genuine happy smiles makes anyone more attractive. Remember there's a lid for every pan : )

probably. body hair is one symptom of the balance of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, (all of which are needed for health) being weighted slightly toward testosterone.

It might get lighter as your body adjusts to your puberty, it sounds at the moment as though you are unbalanced..
