You haven't described any problems with your ovaries that would make it necessary to have them removed. Leave them in. Surgical menopause is awful. Even years after natural menopause, the ovaries are producing hormones that are important. In the US, docs remove ovaries at the drop of a hat. In Europe, they don't. They recognize that it's wrong to remove healthy organs. So unless there's a good, medical reason why both of your ovaries are diseased and need to go, or will need to go shortly, then I'd leave them both in. However, if something is seriously wrong with them and you'll need them BOTH out shortly, then maybe get them removed. But that's not clear from your comments. At the very least, go get a second opinion from another doctor. This doc might be surgery happy or have no respect for the integrity of the female body. Or he might be perfectly reasonable but his rationale was not explained here.
my mom had hers removed. she said it didn't hurt cuz they numbed her she said after words it hurt a little bit but they give u pain meds. she was at the hospital less then a week and when she came home she said it hurt a little still but she was walking just fine and went back to her everyday routine
