Antibiotics and morning after pills.?!

Question: Antibiotics and morning after pills.?
Okay, so I had unprotected sex but he didn't come inside me - I'd like to go on the safe side however and take a morning after pill regardless. I had a kidney infection and I am still on antibiotics from that, should I stop taking the antibiotics for a 24 hours before and after I take the pill or will it not reduce the effectiveness of the pill. I REALLY CANNOT GET PREGNANT.

You don't actually have to worry about antibiotics. This is a sort of wive's tale. What you have to worry about is what you're taking the antibiotics for. If it's for a conditions that makes you vomit, gives you diarrhea or otherwise increases the speed at which things pass through your digestive system, then you may have a problem. Also, if you're taking medication for tuberculosis you have to worry.

The secret is to make sure the pills you take have time to dissolve in your intestinal tract. You don't want to throw them up or have them otherwise exit your body too soon.

well i suggest you stop taking the antibiotics for 72 hours afta youve taken the pill as if you take them before this they could stop the effectiveness and easily get pregnant its easier then you think i know two people who was taking antibiotics when they had taken the morning after pill and both of them got pregnent so i highly recommend you dont take them for 72 hours just to be on the save side hope this helps

antibiotics will make the morning afterpill not work.. same as if you have the nrml pill to stop you from getting preg the antibiotic counteracts with the pill and it doesnt work.. so yh yur fl<d. :L
