Tampon or pad? Which is better? ?!

Question: Tampon or pad? Which is better? ?
Just outta curiosity, which do you prefer?? I use a pad but Im starting sports and it's kinda uncomfortable. If u use a tampon how does it feel? Can u do stretches with it? Wat if it got stuck inside???

Answers:

I use both.

If inserted properly you can do anything you normally do while wearing a tampon. The first couple times I used a tampon I wasn't very good at inserting it right, so it was uncomfortable. Make sure you get it up far enough, that is usually where it becomes uncomfortable, when its not in all the way. Once you get the hang of it you practically forget that its their. The most I've done with a tampon i just running and horseback ridding. It was fine for me.

If you do decide to use tampons be sure to read the little paper inside the box. It gives you very important information about toxic shock syndromem (tss) and how you are at risk by using a tampon. It also explains that this usually happens if a person keeps the tampon in for more that 6 hours. I usually have to pee before 6 hours is up so I pull the tampon out to go. It also says things like its not a good idea to sleep with a tampon in, (the 6 hour rule) and it also has descriptive instructions on how to use a tampon. You should also start with the smallestt sizes of tampon until you know how much absorbencyy you need. If you fill up one tampon in a short amount of time, go to a larger size. I also wear a panty liner (really thin pad) with a tampon because my period is kinda spotty so at times I bleed through with a tampon, and times I hardly fill the cotton. Its all up to you and your body though. Oh, and about them getting stuck, you don't even have to worry about it. The strings don't fall off, and even if it did you can get it out yourself. If you worry about it just give the string a little tug before you use it. that way you know its attached.

You can also check out the websites of tampon companies. Here is the Kotex link.Personallyy they are myfavoritee brand for both tampons and pads. You can try free samples if you like.

I must admit I have been curious about how professional tennis players cope when they have their periods! All depends on how heavy your flow is. If it's light then a decent pad should be fine, if you want added protection from embarrassing leakage you can use both, particularly if the period is heavier. Choose a tampon that suits the heaviness of the flow, once inserted correctly it shouldn't be felt inside so any stretching etc won't be a problem. Make sure the string attached to the tampon is outside your body for easy removal. A tampon shouldn't get stuck inside, even if you lose the string you should be able to retrieve it by squatting down and locating it with your fingers, failing that it will be easily removed by a doctor and never forget to make sure you change them at regular intervals as left inside or indeed forgotten tampons can cause a condition called toxic shock syndrome. Using them carefully and as directed shouldn't cause any problems. I used to prefer to use both for added protection as I was always on the heavy side to begin with, once the flow had settled and was tapering off I only needed a pad. Hope this helps.

I prefer Tampons, everyone is different though but they're more comfortable for sport as you can't feel them, they won't move and you're much less likely to leak. You can do whatever you want while using Tampons, if inserted right, you won't be able to feel it at all, and the chances of it getting stuck inside of you are pretty slim, it doesn't really go in that far, you'll be able to easily reach it with your fingers.
It takes a bit of practice usually when you first start using them, but I recommend them if you're going to be into sports.

Depends on your preference. Tampons are probably better for you seeing as you play sports.
Yes, you can stretch, run, swim, whatever with a tampon. It won't get stuck, don't worry (it's a common fear of most girls who have yet to use a tampon :) ) But once you try it, you'll most likely stick with them!

Just relax and insert (make sure you have a heavy to regular flow, it may be uncomfortable if you're period's verrry light). Make sure you push the tampon in enough, or it WILL be uncomfortable! If it does end up feeling uncomfortable, just insert a new one, but make sure you go up further (don't worry, it won't get stuck up there.) When it's in enough, you won't even feel it. :) After you get it the first time, it's very easy.

Out of those two, tampons. For the past 11 years, though, I've been using a menstrual cup: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_c…

They're reusable; they work so much better than tampons and can be left in for 10-12 hours at a time; they save soooooooooooooooo much money and are much better for the environment than tampons or pads. I don't even know how much those things cost anymore since it's been over a decade since I've had to shop that aisle in the drugstore! I've mostly used one called the Keeper, but there are many other brands available now, and they come in different shapes, sizes, and materials.

I'm a total convert to menstrual cups and sing their praises at every opportunity. I would never, ever go back to anything else. Give them a shot!

Tampon's during the day and pads while you sleep. You don't feel tampon's if you have it in right. If it's uncomfortable or hurts it needs to be put in more. It wont get stuck just make sure you keep the string out so you can pull it out. You can do stretches yes you can even swim with them in.

i would like to use a tampon, but my mom only buys pads. ): anyways, you already know how pads are; sticky, uncomfortable, messy . eww , i hate pads .

Tampons all the way. They won't get stuck. You can do stretches. They feel like your getting fingered except it goes way deeper.

I use tampons
